I had one of the most incredible photography experiences of my career this past Sunday. I’ve been working really hard to organize a weekend Boudoir Session with as many models as possible shooting in a hotel room for most of the day and some of the evening. My passion for this type of photography started some months ago but was really ignited when I attended the Boudoir Divas Workshop in San Diego, CA in January. WOW!! My mind started racing and I couldn’t stop writing. Notes, reminders… journal entries about how excited I was to start this new venture in my business!
So the last three weeks have been trying to think of everything for that one day to make sure it’s all PERFECT… (yeah, ok I’m a control freak *lol) …… BUT IT WAS!!!!
Five unbelievable models, fantastic hair (Markie Perrier, Fringe Salon in Simcoe) and make-up people ( Jenni Mudge-Winters, Senior Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics + Sarah Lee Jaques, also with Mary Kay) and the greatest assistant, Emily Macintyre.
Inspiration?… I think as women we can get so down on ourselves… looking at magazines, billboards, advertising. We think we’re just not good enough… not pretty or skinny enough or “HOT” enough. Too old, too “thick”, wrinkled, flawed… unworthy. What I’m striving for is to give women an opportunity to see themselves in a different light. We all want to feel beautiful, sexy, desirable and confident. And you know what….WE ARE… we just forget that we are! Having a Boudoir Session as a gift to YOURSELF or a gift to your spouse or after a life changing event (weight -loss, fitness goal, child birth, recovering from Cancer or mastectomy, hysterectomy) is just the thing to do it!! There are SO many things that deplete our confidence that this is something to have fun with that will no doubt, give you your Sexy back!
