EEEEEeeeeee…..EEEeeeeee……eeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!
The squeals of excitement that emerged when I got the call that Sarah and Charlie wanted to hire me to shoot their Wedding in Colorado… and I saw the only “blank” Saturday on my October calendar perfectly placed on the 24th.
My imagination starts to wander. Hmmmm… mountains, beautiful weather, blue sky, two very generous and loving people about to exchange vows, decadent hotel…wow, could a photographer ask for more??
Saturday October 24th in Boulder, Colorado with Sarah and Charlie did NOT disappoint!! This incredible Wedding went off without a hitch due to some serious dedication and hard work by the bride and groom. Every detail was planned from the written ceremony and vows, a wonderful friend (Tate) officiating, look-alike cake toppers, (animals included), down to hand-picked music all night!
They did an amazing job.
There were over 100 people that flew in for this Wedding from all over the United States, Canada, Alaska and Hawaii. It was fantastic to see a group of such supportive, loving friends and family all join to be with them on the most important day of their lives. It was very moving.
The Ceremony at the Sunrise Ampitheater at Flagstaff Mountain outside Boulder was one of the most beautiful sites I have ever seen for a Wedding. A circular rock bench formation around a stone platform surrounded by pines and mountains off to the West. The weather co-operated just long enough for the ceremony and a couple of family and friends pictures…..then it really COOLED off!!

Sarah, Charlie and myself went further up to another mountainous spot where he proposed to take a few more pictures. Awe-inspiring view! We got back down to the “ground” and thankfully it was much warmer where we managed a few more shots of them in a gorgeous grassy field. We finally got back to the hotel for cocktail hour, dinner and …PARTY TIME!!
Sarah and Charlie… thank you for your trust and the opportunity to document your Wedding Day. It has meant a great deal to me to be part of such a momentous occasion. You are both exceptional people and I’m honored to know you.
